Inclusion & Access

Accessibility Statement

TsvWeb is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the Equality Act 2010 and recognised digital accessibility standards.

Last updated: 30 April 2026

1. About This Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to tsvweb.com and the subdomains we operate, including the marketing site, admin and client portal areas, and the public status page (collectively, the "Site"). It does not apply to websites we have built for our clients — those are governed by the client's own accessibility statement.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the Site, regardless of technology, ability, or how they connect to the internet. This statement explains how accessible the Site is, where we know it falls short, and how to report problems.

2. Our Commitment

We aim to design, build, and maintain the Site so that:

You can zoom in up to 300% without text spilling off the screen or content being cut off.
You can navigate most of the Site using only a keyboard.
You can navigate most of the Site using speech-recognition software.
You can listen to most of the Site using a screen reader, including the latest versions of NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
All text has sufficient colour contrast against its background.
Layouts and content adapt to mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.
Forms have clear labels, instructions, and error messages.
We avoid relying on colour alone to convey meaning.

We have also worked to make the writing on the Site as plain and direct as possible. AbilityNet has helpful advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

3. Compliance Status & Standards

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (and 2.2 where applicable)

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 Level AA define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This is the standard expected of public-facing UK websites under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, and the standard we hold ourselves to as a private business.

Compliance status: the Site is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. The non-compliances and exemptions listed in section 5 are the reasons for partial rather than full conformance. We continue to work to improve our accessibility posture across the Site.

4. Technical Accessibility Measures

We implement the following to support accessible use:

Semantic structure

  • Meaningful heading hierarchy (H1–H6)
  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
  • Descriptive page titles unique to each page
  • ARIA roles only where native HTML is insufficient

Visual design

  • Colour contrast ratios meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for body text
  • Responsive layout for mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • Text resizable to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Content not conveyed by colour alone

Navigation

  • Keyboard-accessible interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators on every focusable element
  • Descriptive link text — no 'click here' links
  • Skip-to-content links on long pages

Content & forms

  • Alt text on informative images; null alt on decorative images
  • Programmatically associated form labels
  • Inline, descriptive form error messages
  • Captions and transcripts for embedded video, where used

Motion & animation

  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion user preference
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second
  • Auto-playing media disabled or muted by default

Tooling & process

  • Automated accessibility checks via axe-core in development
  • Manual keyboard-only and screen-reader spot checks
  • Lighthouse and WAVE audits before significant releases
  • Accessibility considered as part of design review

5. Non-Accessible Content & Known Limitations

The content listed below is non-accessible for the reasons given. We are working to resolve these items.

5.1 Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some older blog posts contain images without descriptive alternative text. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). We are auditing and updating older content; new posts are reviewed before publication.
  • A small number of decorative animations on marketing pages do not yet fully respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. This may fail WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.3.3 (Animation from Interactions). We are working through these in the next release cycle.
  • Certain admin-only screens have not been fully tested with screen readers. Because they are not public, this is a lower priority; if you require accessible access, contact us and we will provide an alternative.

5.2 Disproportionate burden

We claim no disproportionate-burden exemptions at this time.

5.3 Content outside the scope of accessibility regulations

  • Embedded third-party content — for example, the Google Calendar booking widget and embedded Stripe payment elements — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. These are outside our direct control. Where possible we provide an accessible alternative (such as contacting us by email to book a call).
  • PDFs and other documents published before 23 September 2018 are exempt under PSBAR. Where we publish new PDFs, we tag them and add bookmarks for accessibility.
  • Content provided by clients that has not yet been adapted for the Site (for example, raw case-study assets) may not meet the same standard until we review it.

6. Browser & Assistive Technology Support

The Site is designed and tested to work with the following browsers and assistive technologies. Older versions may work but are not actively supported.

Supported browsers

  • Google Chrome (current and previous major version)
  • Mozilla Firefox (current and previous major version)
  • Apple Safari (current and previous major version)
  • Microsoft Edge (current and previous major version)
  • Mobile Safari (iOS) and Chrome (Android)

Assistive technologies

  • NVDA with Firefox or Chrome (Windows)
  • JAWS with Chrome or Edge (Windows)
  • VoiceOver with Safari (macOS / iOS)
  • TalkBack with Chrome (Android)
  • Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Windows)
  • Browser zoom up to 300%

We do not support Internet Explorer. If you experience issues using a supported browser or assistive technology, please let us know.

7. Reporting Accessibility Issues

We are always looking to improve the accessibility of the Site. If you find any problems, or you think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact us. We take all feedback seriously and aim to acknowledge your message within 5 working days and resolve issues as quickly as we reasonably can.

To help us investigate, please include where possible:

  • The URL of the page where you experienced the issue.
  • A short description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The browser, operating system, and assistive technology you were using (with versions if you can).
  • Screenshots, screen recordings, or quoted text — only what you are comfortable sharing.
  • Whether you would like us to reply by email, phone, or another method.

If you need information from the Site in a different format — for example, a large print version, an audio recording, or a plain-text email summary — let us know and we will provide it where reasonably possible. We aim to respond to format requests within 10 working days.

8. Enforcement & Complaints

The Equality Act 2010 requires us to make reasonable adjustments to ensure our services are accessible to people with disabilities. If you are not satisfied with how we have responded to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS):

EASS website: equalityadvisoryservice.com. Helpline: 0808 800 0082, Monday to Friday 9am–7pm and Saturday 10am–2pm.

If you believe a UK public sector body's website does not meet the regulations, you should report it directly to that body. We are a private business and so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us, but we use them as a guide to good practice.

9. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 30 April 2026 and last reviewed on 30 April 2026. We assess the Site using a combination of:

  • Automated testing using axe-core, WAVE, and Lighthouse on representative pages.
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation through key user journeys.
  • Manual screen-reader testing on a sample of pages using NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS.
  • Colour-contrast testing on text and interactive elements.
  • Review of motion and animation against the prefers-reduced-motion media query.

We will review and update this statement at least annually, or sooner if there are significant changes to the Site that may affect accessibility.

10. Accessibility in Client Projects

Where we build websites for clients, we treat accessibility as a core part of the work and aim for WCAG 2.1 AA conformance unless a higher standard has been agreed. However, the final accessibility of a client website also depends on the content, third-party integrations, and ongoing edits made by the client. We provide guidance on maintaining accessibility but cannot guarantee compliance for content or changes made by you or third parties after handover.

11. Updates to This Statement

We will keep this statement under regular review. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be flagged on the Site or by direct email to clients where appropriate.
